Directeur de recherche au sein de l&rsquo;Inrae sur le th\u00e8me : \u00ab Weather shocks and adaptation: what impacts on the land use and deforestation? \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le s\u00e9minaire est financ\u00e9 par le LabEx ARBRE et aura lieu<strong> le 4 mai 2023, \u00e0 14h, <\/strong>dans la salle<strong>\u00a0Jacamon 1\u00a0<\/strong>\u00e0\u00a0<strong>AgroParisTech Nancy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>R\u00e9sum\u00e9: Extreme weather events, particularly droughts, have strong impacts on the livelihoods of populations in rural areas. In a context of low access to insurance and credit markets, households respond to such shocks by implementing different risk-management strategies, which in turn are likely to have an impact on the environment, in particular through land-use changes and deforestation.
