{"id":10644,"date":"2020-12-11T14:51:02","date_gmt":"2020-12-11T14:51:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mycor.iam.inrae.fr\/IAM\/?p=10644"},"modified":"2020-12-11T14:51:02","modified_gmt":"2020-12-11T14:51:02","slug":"hdr-defense-jeremy-couturier","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mycor.iam.inrae.fr\/IAM\/?p=10644","title":{"rendered":"HDR defense: J\u00e9r\u00e9my Couturier"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>J\u00e9r\u00e9my Couturier soutient son Habilitation \u00e0 Diriger des Recherches le vendredi 11 d\u00e9cembre \u00e0 14h \u00e0 la Facult\u00e9 de Sciences et Technologies, Salle des Actes \u00e0 Vandoeuvre-l\u00e8s-Nancy.<\/p>\n<p>Titre : <strong>&#8220;De la biogen\u00e8se des centres fer-soufre \u00e0 la persulfuration des prot\u00e9ines : identification et caract\u00e9risation des acteurs mol\u00e9culaires impliqu\u00e9s dans le transfert de soufre chez les plantes&#8221;<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><u>R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Le soufre est un \u00e9l\u00e9ment indispensable au d\u00e9veloppement et \u00e0 la croissance des plantes qui sont capables d\u2019assimiler le soufre inorganique pr\u00e9sent au niveau du sol pour former de la cyst\u00e9ine. Donneur majeur de soufre, cet acide amin\u00e9 est un m\u00e9tabolite cl\u00e9 pour la biosynth\u00e8se de m\u00e9thionine et de glutathion mais \u00e9galement de nombreux compos\u00e9s\/cofacteurs soufr\u00e9s comme les centres fer-soufre, la biotine, la thiamine, l\u2019acide lipo\u00efque, le cofacteur \u00e0 molybd\u00e8ne et les bases soufr\u00e9es des ARNt. Ces voies de biosynth\u00e8se reposent notamment sur des r\u00e9actions de transfert de soufre impliquant la formation de groupements persulfures sur des cyst\u00e9ines r\u00e9actives des prot\u00e9ines au travers de r\u00e9actions de trans-persulfuration. En d\u00e9pit de son importance dans la physiologie des plantes, l\u2019\u00e9tude du m\u00e9tabolisme soufr\u00e9 reste en retrait compar\u00e9e \u00e0 celle des m\u00e9tabolismes de l\u2019azote et du phosphore et les m\u00e9canismes mol\u00e9culaires impliqu\u00e9s dans le transfert du soufre restent majoritairement peu d\u00e9crits. Au cours de ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, mes recherches ont principalement port\u00e9 sur l\u2019identification et la caract\u00e9risation des acteurs mol\u00e9culaires impliqu\u00e9s dans la biogen\u00e8se des centres Fe-S et le transfert de soufre chez les plantes au travers de l\u2019\u00e9tude de deux familles de prot\u00e9ines, les cyst\u00e9ine d\u00e9sulfurases et les sulfurtransf\u00e9rases.<\/p>\n<p><u>Summary<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Sulfur represents an essential element for the growth and development of plants that are able to assimilate inorganic sulfur present in the soil to synthesize cysteine. As a major sulfur donor molecule, this amino acid is a key metabolite for methionine and glutathione biosynthesis but also many sulfur containing compounds\/cofactors such as iron-sulfur centers, biotin, thiamine, lipoic acid, molybdenum cofactor and sulfur-containing bases in tRNAs. The related biosynthetic pathways rely on sulfur transfer reactions involving notably the formation of persulfide groups on reactive cysteine residues through trans-persulfidation reactions. Despite its importance for plant physiology, the molecular mechanisms of sulfur trafficking remain mostly undescribed. During the last years, my research activity has mainly focused on the identification and characterization of the molecular actors involved in the biogenesis of Fe-S clusters and sulfur trafficking in plants through the study of two protein families, cysteine desulfurases and sulfurtransferases.<\/p>\n<p>Le jury est compos\u00e9 de :<\/p>\n<p>M.
