| Scientific interests | I am a researcher based at the Institute of Ecology (INECOL) in Mexico, currently visiting the IAM Unit as part of my sabbatical year. My research group is interested in elucidating the factors structuring plant and soil microbiomes, for example management practices, edaphic factors, plant health, etc. On a more applied perspective, we are also searching for microbial biocontrol agents of plant diseases and for plant-growth promoting microorganisms, combining in vitro studies with natural product chemistry to understand the mechanisms underlying the beneficial activity of elected microbes. |
