The INRAE / Université de Lorraine Joint Research Unit 1136 “Interactions Arbres – Microorganismes” (IAM) studies the biology and ecology of interactions between micro-organisms and forest trees.
The ultimate goals of these projects are to improve our knowledge and our understanding of the interactions that take place between trees, fungi and bacteria, and that contribute to the sustainable functioning of forest ecosystems.
The Department headed by Pascal Frey is organized into four teams:
- Stress Response and Redox Regulation team (SRRR; Leader: Mélanie Morel-Rouhier)
- Ecogenomics of Interactions team (EGI; Leader: Marc Buée)
- Ecology of Forest Pathogenic Fungi team (EFPF; Leader: Fabien Halkett)
- Tous Chercheurs team (TC; Leader: Pascale Frey-Klett)
and is supported by technical platforms
The four teams are geographically located on two sites:
The SRRR team is located in Vandoeuvre-les-Nancy.
